# What is the Fridge Door Gallery?
FDG is a student-run art gallery that supports student artists. Their work includes:
- Curating a biannual vernissage event that exhibits student artwork
- The Fridge Door Review, an online art journal
- Hosting art-related events such as workshops and panel discussions
- Maintaining a supportive sales network for artist careers
# My role
As Head of Design for the Fridge Door Gallery, I was primarily responsible for:
- Designing catalogues that accompany each vernissage, showcasing our featured artists
- Designing promotional material to advertise events throughout the semester
I was with FDG through four vernissages:
- Materialize (Fall 2017)
- Growth (Winter 2018)
- IRL/URL (Fall 2018)
- Haven (Winter 2019)
For each theme, I created a visual identity accompanied by a variation on the logo. This visual language served to unify the print catalogues and promotional content for each vernissage. The cover of eatch catalogue features the artwork of one of the artists included in the exhibition. Below, you’ll find process work, mockups, alternate versions, and final copies of work I did for the FDG.
